Bhatkya Vimukta Jati Shikshan Sanstha (BVJSS) started with Six Orphans in Home by Mr.Shivlal Jadhav encouraged by his Mother.

There are now approximately 450 orphans at BVJSS and 50 speech and hearing impaired children at orphans-cum-school located at Wagholi, 15 kms from Pune (India). There are 11 regular and seven special teachers teaching in School (Ashram Shala).

Various organizations help Mr.Shivalal Jadhav to run BVJSS.

Family Care a US based NGO donates grains and clothes. It has also donated eight sewing machines and 20 computers.

Mr.Shivalal Jadhav also runs a school for mentally retarded children in Pabal village. The Wagholi orphans-cum-school also has facilities for vocational training such as chalk and candal making and bookbinding. The older speech and hearing impaired wards are sent to Apte Prashala in Pune city every year for further training and subsequent employment opportunities.

BVJSS is planing to start a technical training center.

The next step, Mr. Jadhav says is to apply for permission to extend his school to the 12th standard and then graduation. “I want to see all my children self-employed, so they do not have to be depend on anyone or beg for favours,” He concludes.

The government funds only 145 children. BVJSS depend on donations in cash and kind for the rest.

Now BVJSS is looking for Donations for Annual Sponsorship of Children & Construction of School Building for High School & Vocational Training Center.
